Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com, we're putting you through the SpinCycle by Experimental Noize. The SpinCycle takes every single controllable parameter from a Leslie and combines them with a few unique functions in one single box. Based on a proprietary algorithm, the SpinCycle offers three footswitches and eight knobs, providing a level of control on par with a dedicated Leslie player. Two speed knobs set LFO endpoints which are toggled back and forth with the Speed footswitch, while an Acceleration knob determines the speed of the crossfade. The momentary Brake switch slows the LFO down to a halt. A unique Drum-to-Rotor Ratio knob adjusts the difference between the speed of the virtual drum and rotor. A Distance control sets the position of the virtual mic from the Leslie cabinet, and a switchable Cab Emulation knob acts as a mix control between a raw Leslie tone and one fed through a cabinet. The Tube Emulation control works in tandem with the 12dB Gain switch on the rear to provide subtle tube-like grit and compatibility with guitar/keyboards. The back of the SpinCycle offers stereo outputs for a true Leslie experience, and a remote pedal jack for speed/engage control anyway on the stage.
