The Best Swedish Dumplings You’ve Never Heard Of | KROPPKAKOR

Описание к видео The Best Swedish Dumplings You’ve Never Heard Of | KROPPKAKOR

If you’re not from Sweden, the chance is high you have never tried (or even heard of) these amazing dumplings. In Swedish, they are known as kroppkakor, and they are made differently in different regions. In this version (Småländska kroppkakor), the dough is made from boiled potatoes and filled with fried pork belly. This recipe is amazing!

When put together, the dumplings simmer in salted water for 5-10 minutes until they are ready. You know that they are done once they come up to the surface and start floating. Keep in mind that it’s important to use floury potatoes for this recipe.

These delicious dumplings are served with lingonberries, clarified butter, and some heavy cream. They are chewy, tasty, and pairs incredibly well with the cream and the sweet and sour berries.

If you want to try something new, yet very traditional, then you should definitely give this recipe a go. I hope you’ll love these kroppkakor as much as I do! Enjoy!
