They are the first estate to plant and sell Pinot Noir in Oregon and they have been using "Dry Farming" as their main technique in growing.

Dry Farming is an old European technique in which irrigation is NOT used. They rely on rainfall and natural conditions to put stress on the grapes.

The roots of those grapes will go deeper into the ground, thus creating more intense flavors.
