Catch-Up Drill (Tap & Go) | TriDot Swim Drill Series

Описание к видео Catch-Up Drill (Tap & Go) | TriDot Swim Drill Series

The purpose of the Catch-Up Drill (Tap & Go) is to develop a feel for front-quadrant swimming to maintain proper body position and balance. As you swim freestyle, pull with one arm at a time and don’t begin the pull phase until the recovery arm “catches up” to the lead arm. Touch hands in streamlined position out in front. Focus on a long sleek vessel.

Helpful Tidbits:
- Be intentional in not lifting your head during this drill to watch your hands.
- Keep your lead hand extended and about 8inches below surface of water.
- Be patient and don’t be afraid to add extra kicking between strokes.
- Can be done with a kick-board out front of body or holding a 12inch PVC pipe.
