Boxed Cake Mix Hack - Better than Bakery Cupcakes

Elevate your boxed cake with these tips! Add a homemade whipped peanut butter frosting and everyone will think you bought these from a bakery!

1 box chocolate cake mix
(any kind is fine)
1 cup buttermilk (room temp)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup coffee
4 lg eggs (room temp)
Reeses cups (smaller ones)

Mix all ingredients together in a lg bowl til smooth.
Fill cupcakes holders 3/4 of the way full. Place candy in the center and push down all the way. Bake at 375 for 14-19 min. Cool.

Whipped Peanur Butter Frosting:
2 sticks unsalted butter (room temp)
1 1/4 c pb
2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
2-3 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
drizzle heavy cream

Cream butter and pb together til no more lumps! It should be smooth.
Sift in powdered sugar. Mix on low til combined. Add vanilla, salt, and heavy cream. Cream til fluffy.
Frost the cupcakes. Enjoy! Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
