Clumping Bamboo - Scabrida - Robusta - Year Three - Spring

Описание к видео Clumping Bamboo - Scabrida - Robusta - Year Three - Spring

Here's another update demonstrating how my clumping bamboo is doing. I have five total clumping bamboo plants. Three Fargesia Robusta plants in the middle flanked by two Scabrida plants.

These bamboo plants supposedly do well in full sunlight whereas most varieties of clumping bamboo suffer a bit in full sunlight. I have found (thus far) that the Robusta plants do better than the Scabrida plants in full sunlight.

Currently it's spring and the new culms have just reached their full height. They are just starting to leaf out.

I love how the plants look in the spring. Vibrant, colorful and healthy.

As most of you know who enjoy my bamboo videos, I removed the running bamboo from my yard as I just had no peace that they wouldn't get out, even though I contained them properly. I returned the healthy plants to the Bamboo Gardens and they traded me these beautiful clumping varieties.

Obviously the clumping bamboo varieties don't create as tall of a screen as the running bamboo, and they don't grow as fast, but at least I have peace of mind. And all the rude YouTube commenters have quit bugging me. So there's that.
