Sustainable worldwide – GIZ sustainability initiatives 2021

Sustainability is GIZ's guiding principle and, at the same time, its core business. With its new Sustainability Programme 2021 to 2025, GIZ has set itself ambitious goals in the areas of climate management and mobility, sustainable procurement, human rights and resource efficiency, among others. The Sustainability Office, GIZ’s Director of Corporate Sustainability and GIZ employees worldwide implement the Sustainability Programme as a collaborative effort. The film portrays central sustainability goals and shows examples of the measures from around the world to achieve them.

Nachhaltigkeit ist das leitende Handlungsprinzip der GIZ und gleichzeitig ihr Kerngeschäft. Mit dem neuen Nachhaltigkeitsprogramm 2021 bis 2025 hat sich die GIZ ambitionierte Ziele u. a. in den Bereichen Klimamanagement und Mobilität, nachhaltiger Beschaffung, Menschenrechte und Ressourceneffizienz gesetzt. Gemeinsam mit den weltweit tätigen Mitarbeitenden der GIZ, arbeiten das Sustainability Office und der GIZ Nachhaltigkeitsbeauftragte an der Umsetzung des Nachhaltigkeitsprogramms. Der Film porträtiert zentrale Nachhaltigkeitsziele und zeigt beispielhaft, mit welchen Maßnahmen die Zielerreichung weltweit anvisiert wird.
