タミヤ 1/24 ホンダ S600
前回、フジミ模型のトヨタS800を作りましたので、今回はタミヤのホンダS600を作ります。

*組み立ての注意点
エンジン
エンジンはネットの写真を参照してディテールアップしました。
バッテリーはラジエーターに接着しますが、バッテリーの幅がエンジンルームにギリギリですので、横幅を超えて何かを取り付けるとエンジンがはまらなくなります。
コード類は横から出さない方がいいです。

シャーシの取り付け
四輪きっちり接地させるのがちょっと不安定な部分あります。
ボディーにダッシュボードを接着しますが、ここが水平に接着出来てないとドアの内張りがダッシュボードに干渉してシャーシが最後まではまりません。
そうなると、ラダーフレームの接着もうまくいきません。
この模型はエンジン、ダッシュボード、シャーシ、ラダーフレームの取付けが結構シビアです。
数字にして後0.5mmほど余裕があればいいのにって思いますが、ドアの内張のダッシュボードとの境目の部分を0.5mmほど削ると安心です。

タイヤの接着
ホイールにドラムブレーキを接着しますが、シャフトがドラムブレーキを貫通させてるタイプではありません。
接着面が小さいのでグラつきます。
ここ、塗料を落として瞬着レベルですが、四輪が接地しているのを確認しつつの瞬着です。

これらのために四輪の接地がちょっと不安定になります。

塗装
白とライトブルー、屋根とボンネットに黄色のラインです。
市販車ではこんなカラーリングはありませんが、実車を忠実に再現したいけど、すぐに横道逸れてしまいます。

ウエザリングはいつものやり方です。
塗装面に深みを与えるためにどうすればいいかを試行錯誤しながら塗装しています。
車模型の塗装の難しさは、ボディーがなだらかな一枚の板を曲げて貼り付けたような物なので、単調になってしまいます。
完成写真のライティングで影を付けるとリアリティー出るのですが、なるべくライティングは平均的に当たるようにしているので、やはり1/24のスケール。目で見るとオモチャのように見えてしまいます。
今のところレイヤー塗装みたいな感じで筆塗りですが、実車のリアルさというより、縮尺模型的にリアルに見える塗装は無いものかと色々と試しています。

ボンネット開閉
キット的に開閉出来るようになっています。
ヒンジが前についているタイプなので、ヒンジ部分が見えませんからリアリティー損なうようなことありません。
実車もこんな感じのヒンジなんですが、模型なので太いです。
気になればプラ板で作り直してもいいかと思いますが、あまり見えないので…。

古本屋さんで、タミヤ製ホンダのS800の雑誌付きを見つけたので買いました。タミヤとのコラボみたいな感じの雑誌でした。800円でしたのでラッキーでした。
いずれ作りたいです。

次はカーモデルでは避けられない2000GTを作ります。
完成させる事が出来れば次回ご紹介いたします。

Last time, I made a Fujimi model Toyota S800, so this time I will make a Tamiya Honda S600.

Precautions for assembly
engine
The details of the engine have been improved by referring to the pictures on the internet.
The battery adheres to the radiator, but the width of the battery is just barely in the engine compertment, so if you install something beyond the battery width, the engine will not fit.
It is better not to put out the battery cords from the side.

Chassis installation
There are some instability in getting the four wheels to touch the ground accurately.
The dashboard is glued to the body, but if not glued horizontally, the door lining will interfere with the dashboard and the chassis will not fit to the edges.
In that case, the ladder frame will not adhere well.
The installation of the engine, dashboard, chassis and rudder frame of this model is very strict.
It would be nice if there was a margin of about 0.5 mm for mounting the parts, but it is okay to cut the boundary part of the door lining with the dashboard by about 0.5 mm.

Tire bonding
The drum brake is glued to the wheel, but the shaft is not the type that penetrates the drum brake.
It is unstable because the adhesive surface is small.
Here, remove the paint and glue the four wheels, making sure they are in contact with the ground.

For this reason, the grounding of the four wheels becomes a little unstable.

Painting
The body is painted white and light blue, with yellow lines on the hood and roof.
There is no such color in the actual car, but it is good to faithfully reproduce the actual car, but it is also fun to paint with your favorite color.

Weathering is the usual method.
Draw by trial and error what to do to add depth to the painted surface.
The difficulty of painting a car model is that the body is like bending and pasting a board, so it becomes monotonous.
Shadowing the lighting in the finished photo will make it more realistic, but the lighting will be as average as possible, so it will look like a toy to the eye.
Right now, I'm painting with a brush, but I'm trying various things to see if there is a realistic picture like a scale model, not the realism of the actual car.

Next, I will make a TOYOTA 2000GT!
