タミヤ 1/12 ホンダRC166とガレージを作る。

MM1/35でオートバイを作ったことありましたが、本格的なオートバイの模型は今回初めて作りました。

きっかけは一枚の写真。
インスタで繋がっているウクライナの友人が投稿したバイクガレージの写真に魅せられて模型化。
写真では古いBMWでしたが、ハーレーかトライアンフで行こうと素材を探していましたが、無くて、今回のRC166に。
結果良かったかなと思いますが、次はやはり英国のオートバイで行きたいと思います。ただ、1/12スケールが無いのです。

キットについて
タミヤのRC166は名作キットだそうで、初めてのバイク模型にこのキットに巡り会えたのはラッキーでした。
オプションはフォークとクラッチセットを一緒に購入しました。
普通に作ってリアリティーは最高。
ホースが太いので6mmに変えて、キャブのリンケージを適当に加えただけのほぼノーマルで作っています。
ただ、こんなにリアルなのに何故プラスのビス止めなのかは疑問です。

塗装と組み立て
カフェレーサーっぽく塗装しました。
プライベートレーサーが古いバイクをメンテしてレースに臨むという図です。

ガレージ
床、作業台、ツールボックス、収納ボックス、カウリングスタンド、オイルパンなどはプラ板、プラ棒、真鍮板で作成。
その他小物はミニチュアパーツを使っています。
1/12サイズはドールハウスの標準サイズなのでミニチュアは色々あります。

1/12サイズのオートバイ模型は手頃にガレージがギリギリ作れる大きさのサイズで、場所も取らないので、今後、このスケールはガレージをセットで作ろうと思っています。
ただ、このサイズの古いオートバイって無いに等しいですね。

次は、ワーゲンか、サニトラか、サクッと完成させられるものを作ってみようと思います。

TAMIYA 1/12 HONDA RC166 and motorcycle garage

I have made a motorcycle model with MM1/35, but this is the first time to make a full-fledged motorcycle model.
The reason why I made a model of a motorcycle was a single photo.
This is a photo of a motorcycle garage posted by a Ukrainian friend on Instagram.
It was an old BMW in the picture, but I was looking for materials to make it with Harley or Triumph, but there was none, so I chose RC166 this time.
Next time I would like to make it with a British motorcycle.

*About the kit
Tamiya's RC166 is a very nice kit. I was lucky that this kit was my first motorcycle plastic model.
I purchased a fork and clutch as an option.
Since the hose is thick, I changed it to 6mm and added a carburetor linkage.
However, I wonder why Phillips screws are used even though it is so realistic.

*painting and assembly
Painted like a cafe racer.
It is a situation where a private racer maintains an old motorcycle and faces a race.

*garage
The floor, workbench, tool box, storage box, cowling stand, oil pan, etc. are made of plastic plates, plastic rods, and brass plates.
Other accessories use miniature parts.
1/12 size is the standard size for dollhouses, so there are plenty of miniature parts.

The 1/12 scale motorcycle model is compact even if I make a garage. I'm thinking of making a model of this scale motorcycle together with the garage.

Next we will make the Volkswagen Beetle that appears in the movie.
