A Visit to Howell Living History Farm

Horses and sheep and chickens, oh my! Then annual conference for ALHFAM, The Association for Living History, Farm and Agricultural Museums was hosted by Howell Living History Farm in Titusville, New Jersey.

Just in one day's visit to the farm, there was a vintage base ball game (complete with hot dogs!), wagon rides, spinning demonstrations, a tour of the farmhouse and kitchen garden, visits to the sheep, the horses, and the chickens, and a plowing contest.

The evening ended with music (and some dancing might have broken out when I put my phone down...) with our dinner on the lawn. Some participants stayed overnight; they were taken away in a WWII truck for demonstrations with a vintage searchlight before they bunked down in authentic WWII army tents.
