This traditional Appalachian tune was adapted from “Take a one on me” family of songs from 1900. The earliest recording of this traditional tune was done in 1928 by a Tennessee band called The Grant Brothers. It has more recently been covered by Billy Strings & Don Julian who got inspired by Doc Watson’s version. Here we do a bluegrass version of this traditional tune!
