In this video, we discuss how Umbreon can be used in the upcoming Regulation G format for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet VGC. In Sword and Shield, Umbreon had a niche against Calyrex Shadow Rider while also applying Foul Play pressure against Swords dance users like Groudon, Zacian, and the other Calyrex Ice-Rider. This time it's more or less the same. With access to Snarl and Yawn, you're able to punish other special attackers as well as force things like Terapagos out of position unless they want to fall asleep. With Moonlight you're able to have self sustainability in Sun, thus having Groudon as a partner makes sense. Because of its triple digit bulk stats, Umbreon is rather difficult to remove, thus being a suitable support option this format overall.
