"The Uruks turned North East....They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard!"

Today we're continuing our comprehensive guide on the Fellowship with the Elven Prince of Mirkwood himself, Legolas Greenleaf, son of King Thranduil and a major player in the events of the War of the Ring. His keen eyes, and unprecedented skill with a bow and arrow make him a truly formidable opponent and invaluable to his fellow companions brought to life on the big screen by Orlando Bloom.

This model is comprised mainly of autumnal colours which reflect the style of Mirkwood and feel very natural in both hue and tone. Here we will be using a wide variety of greens and browns in different ways to bring life to this hero of Middle Earth. We will also explain in detail, step by step how to highlight the tunic and cloth in such a way that looks realistic yet elegant as all elves should.

With subtle contrasting tones for other areas of the model this detailed guide will show you every step to creating a beautiful, elegant and formidable unit for the tabletop.

This painting method will work for any sculpt of LEgolas you happen to have, we've decided to use the original metal Fellowship sculpts as these have a special place in our hearts personally, the only difference will be the elven cloaks which we will most certainly be covering in a later guide.

Stay tuned next week as we plan on expanding either our Two Towers series or continuing with our Return of the King series....Who knows, you might even get a bearded wonder next week, even we dont know for sure!

We hope you enjoy and as always.

Happy Hobbying!
