Your PC is NOT Ready! Alan Wake 2 System Requirements Has Gamers Mad

Alan Wake 2’s PC system requirement was just recently unveiled and it caused quite a stir within the PC gaming community. The specs posted even for the lowest performance and resolution target, 1080P 30FPS with low settings require an RX 6600 or RTX 2060 WITH upscaling. While those minimum specifications are surely higher than what’s typical, the fact that they’re recommending players to use DLSS/FSR right from the get go is a bad sign. I’ve seen the game’s visual and its impressive but are they really at the level to justify this much demanding performance? What has come to fruition here has been exactly what I’ve been talking about on the channel over the past couple of months. Games coming out are now standardizing the use of upscaling even with out using intense visual fidelity effects like ray tracing or path tracing. Now instead of taking the time to do some optimization work, the devs will just leave it in the hands of gamers to use upscaling.
