Gettin' Gone

A last minute addition to the Hat Town album, Getting Gone was written in the hallowed EMI Studios 301, Castlereagh Street Sydney. Colin Buchanan interrupted his own recording session to join Lee and record producer Garth Porterfor the songwriting session which began as a guitar riff and metamorphosised into one of the greatest country rock songs of the decade. Robyn McKelvie joins Mark Punch and James Gillard on backing vocals and the memorable Electric Slide Guitar solo was played by Lawrie Minson.

Gettin' Gone made it's chart debut on the 28th November 1998 and was the third #1 single from Hat Town. The music video also earned Lee Country Music Television's Video Artist of the Year Award (Pacific Rim).
