Rod Land Longplay (Arcade) [QHD]

Another arcade game I've long wanted to tick off, Rod Land isprobably my favourite of all Jaleco's titles. Players must trap monsters using their magical rods, then bash them on the ground repeatedly to defeat them, whilst grapping flowers and gems for bonus points.

Gamers who've only played the home conversions might be surprised to learn that they've only experienced half of the full Rod Land story. The home ports include only the "First Story", which sees Tam and Rit resucing their mom from the dark tower, but the arcade version also includes a "Second Story", which can only be unlocked if you know the secret code (revealed by beating the first story).

The second story sees takes place in a mysterios pyramid, filled with new enemies, levels, and even tougher guardians to defeat. I've included complete playthroughs of both stories in this video, so be sure to check the time-codes to skip ahead.
