I should have returned this new car battery (Noco 5 Genius repair?)

Brand new car battery that I needed to return straight away, but have not done so.


That is my mistake and I should know better. The story is that I bought this brand new battery Bosch S5005 from Eurocarparts. I measured the state of health with the Foxwell BT100 Pro and it was 80% state of health and the cold cranking amps were not that great either (I cannot remember what the exact numbers were). It has now been ~8 months since I have been using it in my Peugeot 307 (2007; 1.6 petrol; ~47,000 miles) and the state of health and cold cranking amps have been dropping consistently with the time.
Moral of the story, buy any of these battery testers and when you buy a new car battery, charge it to full, then test it. If the state of health is not anything more than 90%, definitely return it!

In the video I will also how to use the noco genius 5 repair mode. My hope was that the Noco genius 5 will help with the car battery desulfation.
