Take a walk with me through the Houston Quilt Festival’s 2025 judged quilt show. Experience a guided tour through the bustling crowd and get close ups of vintage, modern, and traditional quilts. 0ver 1,100 quilts are in the exhibit. You will see a lot of them in this video! I'll zoom in so you can see close up details. Special exhibit categories include international quilts, 3 large scale quilts (think wall installations), landscape, flowers, collaborative group made quilts, art quilts, quilts as art in hospitals, and vintage Red Cross quilts donated during WWII.

Note: This was filmed live, in a noisy gallery. The sound quality is as good as I could get it. I added automated captions to help you understand, but they are imprecise. The auto captions had a particularly hard time with the word quilting, and once even translated quilting as a curse word. Please know that I was not cursing, and accept my apologies for that miscaption.

It may help you to understand my walk around the gallery to know that the quilt categories are grouped on the fronts, backs, and sides of the display walls. Imagine the displays as plus symbols that I'm navigating as I maneuver through the crowd. If you see a category that interests you, watch for a bit, as I may round a corner and find more of that category.
