Peanut Butter Overnight Oats with Bananas Recipe

Описание к видео Peanut Butter Overnight Oats with Bananas Recipe

Overnight oats are basically “cooked” oatmeal that is prepared the night before. Instead of finding the time to cook oatmeal in your busy morning schedule, overnight oats can be soaked with milk the night before and ready to eat in the morning. It is creamy, satisfying, healthy and delicious ~ a great breakfast or afternoon snack.

Ingredients
1/2 cup (45 g) rolled oats (Quaker Old Fashioned Oats)
1/2 cup (4 oz or 120 ml) milk of your choice
2 tablespoons (40 g) natural peanut butter/ almond butter (creamy or chunky)
1/2 to 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or any sweetener you like)
Topping: 1 ripe banana

~ Combine all the ingredients. Stir, cover and store in the fridge for at least 6 hours or overnight until the texture becomes softer and creamier. Top with sliced banana. ~

~ Note: Natural peanut butter contains only peanuts. It is better than regular peanut butter since it does not contain preservatives such as palm oil, hydrogenated oil/ trans-fat etc. Almond butter is slightly healthier than peanut butter because it has more vitamins and minerals, but it is not readily available all over the world. If you can find almond butter, use it as first choice. ~
