Giraffe Centre Nature Trail

Giraffe Centre Nature Trail and Sanctuary is part of the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi.

We had a wonderful visit here in September 2011.

Frederick our guide from Giraffe Manor took us around the nature trail.

We fed JoJo the Giraffe over the fence.

The trail goes down to the snaking Gogo River, you can see, birds, warthog and squirrels along the nature trail.

Frederick told us about the conservation of wild herbs and their uses.
Frederick also told us the Massai women used the wild leaves as a deodorant and wild mint as a toothpaste.

It was a lot of fun being with Frederick our guide and our holiday friends.
We all had a fabulous time on the nature trail.

The Nature Trail is open daily from 8am to 5.00 pm and it’s free, when visiting The Giraffe Centre.
