Analysis:
Sun Quan's weapon base is ridiculously high. His S5 carries a decent punch, along with C3 EX and C5 EX, especially C5. Notably, this common sword has nice range and wide swings, which is very good.
Sun Quan's normal string execution, interval and recovery are all very nice. Capable of sneaking behind enemy officers to S5-repeat them all to death. It's fast, so if it goes smoothly, it'll be very difficult for the officers to immediately turn around. He is capable of dueling a hyper officer straight up, one vs one (no Flurry), under one Rage with this tactic.
C3 EX doesn't "seem" to spectacular besides the animation. However, C3 EX has a manual auto-lock priority on officers, making it very easy to pinpoint officers for the kill, despite the deceiving hitbox. The last hit of C3 before the EX is guard break, making C3 a guarantee hit if executed successfully. Even though C3 EX is semi-weak, the mobility and it's crowd clearing benefit is good for refill and back-to-back combo kills.
C5 EX is a moveset that needs to be in conjunction with S4 to work properly, especially against officers. S4-C5 EX full-hit will defeat generics without Rage in one go. Like said, Sun Quan can outmaneuver officers really easily while being safe because of the fast and wide swings, making this is best move against generics outside of Musou.
Because of Sun Quan's reliable strings with S5, C3 EX and C5 EX, he can maintain/sustain his Musou comfortably in lower populated stages.
Sun Quan's Musou I is pretty strong, capable of OHKO generics without the Musou weapon. Therefore, he can use whatever weapon he sees fit during any situation, whether if it is to sustain Musou spam with Roar or filling Rage even faster with Triumph. With the Pure Musou weapon, he is able to defeat hyper officers with two Musou I consistently. His Musou I is blockable, but he can work around it easily with a Switch Attack (SA).
Note: For the SA-Musou strategy, as long as the player hears the SA SFX cue, then it's a-okay to perform a Musou. The player doesn't have to see the full animation of SA in order to unblock officers.
Sun Quan's (True) Rage Musou is very strong for a combo-based version. It actually still deals damage to double defense hyper officer, unlike most combo-based Rage users. Sun Quan should not use Rage Musou indiscriminately unless the situation calls for it. The mobility isn't great, but they have trouble blocking his True Rage Musou (for some reason), take that as an advantage, but don't count on it to work 100% of the time.
Is it just me, or does his facial appearance resemble Lu Bu in this game?
