Fifth tribute is none other than XianYun; the donghua version of WangXian, the song Lan Wangji composed for Wei Wuxian.

First things first, I would like to point out that this is just a cover and not the official version. All credit for it goes to 南风ZJN. A huge thanks to him for delivering such an emotional performance.

I accidentally found it at Kiko Tsukino's channel a few days after my fourth tribute to the fandom was finished, and what a happy accident it was! I fell in love with it in an instant. I knew I had to use it in my next video, and although I wasn't keen on making a fifth video when that day had started, I found myself asking for permission to use it. So, a big thanks to Kiko Tsukino for allowing me to use it and also sharing her download link.

I love HITA's version. It is the official, after all. She did a perfect job, all the techniques she put into it show her dedication and I do think it is pleasant to listen to, but to me, knowing the backstory of the song and having read the novel, it just doesn't feel right..

XianYun (wangxian) is composed by Lan Wangji. It talks about his inward thoughts and feelings about Wei Wuxian. In my opinion, a male voice is more on point as it represents him and captures all that he wants to convey but isn't able to. All that grief, all that longing, and those heart-wrenching lyrics can not be expressed by anyone else but Lan Wangji himself, and for me, 南风ZJN managed to achieve that with his performance...

The last part of the video (the humming part) is Bian Jiang (Lan Wangji's voice actor) humming that part in the donghua. I always get goosebumps when I listen to it, so I had to add it here.
