This is one of the few boss fights that you can avoid if you do well in the mini-game that comes before it the prize for not screwing up the mini-game three times is a rather powerful accessory: Amulet.

This is also the only opportunity to fight Booster in person, so there's that. If you choose to fight Boost you'll earn a Flower Box, which I choose over the Amulet here because reasons.
