G&S Metals and Refiners presents a simple cleaning technique that will remove tarnish from silver! Using baking soda, aluminum foil, and hot water you can clean jewelry with an electrochemical reaction instead of elbow grease and harsh silver cleaning chemicals to remove tarnish.

As seen on the video, very heavily tarnished silver may require additional polishing to fully restore the condition and shine of the silver.

This reaction produces aluminum sulfite (blackening on the aluminum foil) and hydrogen sulfite (a non-harmful gas that will smell like bad eggs) but the contents are safe to go down the drain after the reaction is complete (although we suggest you recycle the aluminum foil and save the silver!)
