Tukaram Maharaj encourages everyone to become a Warkari, a spiritual seeker who follows the path of devotion and undertakes a pilgrimage to the sacred Pandharpur Kshetra for the darshana (sacred sight) of Lord Shri Vittala, who is none other than Shri Krishna. This pilgrimage leads one to become a lifelong devotee of the Lord.

He beautifully describes the Warkari Yatra, which takes place during the Ashadhi and Kartika months of the lunar calendar. The large gathering of devotees at the riverbed of Chandrabhaga, also known as Valavanti, turns the place into a heavenly Vaikuntha on earth. Tukaram Maharaj explains that being in the company of such pious and ardent devotees of Vittala Panduranga, the sadhus, and saints, liberates one from the cycle of birth and death. There is no need to seek liberation separately.

The Warkaris carry the Bhagwadwaja, known as Pataka, on their shoulders and wear a Tulasi mala and Abhira, symbolizing their acceptance of the Warkari path. The sight of this beautiful gathering of sadhus and saints mesmerizes Tukaram Maharaj, and he falls at their feet, rolling his body in the dust of their feet to purify himself from past sins and to ensure good spiritual progress in the future.
