Batık Şehir: Halfeti Gezilecek Yerler

Şanlıurfa'nın dikkat çeken ilçelerinden olan Halfeti, köklü tarihiyle öne çıkmaktadır. Tarih boyunca birçok medeniyete ev sahipliği yapan Halfeti'nin bir kısmı 2000'li yıllarda Birecik Barajı'nın yapımıyla sular altında kalmıştır. İlçe, Yeni Halfeti olarak başka bir noktaya noktaya taşınırken, Eski Halfeti ise Şanlıurfa'nın önemli turizm merkezlerinden biri haline gelmiştir.

Hem tarihi hem de doğal güzellikleriyle ziyaretçileri ağırlayan Halfeti'de Rum Kale, Savaşan Köyü, Asma Köprü, Halfeti Ulu Camii, Halfeti Batık Camii, Aziz Nerses Kilisesi ve Barşavma Kilisesi gibi turistik noktalar bulunmaktadır.

Sakin Şehir ünvanına sahip olan Halfeti, Fırat nehrinin kıyısında yer almaktadır. Eski Halfeti'de nehir kıyısında yürüyüş yapabilir, bölgede yetişen siyah gülü görebilir ve tekne gezisine katılabilirsiniz.
