In a televised speech Wednesday evening, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has failed to achieve any of his goals, including defeating Hamas.

"After six months of fighting, after five months of fighting, it was unable to provide a victory scene and a victory image from all the goals it announced," Nasrallah said via Hezbollah-controlled broadcaster Al-Manar TV.

Nasrallah also blasted U.S. President Joe Biden for not stopping the war in Gaza with the "stroke of a pen" and labelled him a "hypocrite."

"With a stroke of a pen Biden can go to the Security Council to veto it (Israel's actions). He does not put a veto or vote, an international decision the whole world will stand up to Israel and force it to stop the war."

Hezbollah activated Lebanon’s southern front with Israel following the Oct. 7 outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

The war began with the surprise attack in southern Israel by the Palestinian militant group Hamas, a Hezbollah ally.

Hezbollah officials have said they will stop attacking Israeli military posts when Israel’s attack on Gaza ends.
