If you’ve been training but maybe you aren’t seeing the results you’d like from your workouts, you’ll love this. Because in today’s video I’ll show you how to speed up muscle growth after 50, and it probably won’t be too much of a change from what you are currently doing!

There are typically 2 main goals for people on a fitness journey, fat loss or muscle building, even both at the same time.

In order to continue building muscle, and avoid a plateau…follow these tips in this video:

PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD: You want to make sure you’re increasing the weight or reps every time you train. This means you have to keep a record of the weights / sets / reps. Keep a workout journal to do that, or keep track on the notes in your phone. Always focus on improving with each workout you do for each exercise you are doing.

FULL RANGE OF MOTION: This ensures your muscles are properly stretching and contracting, both of which lead to muscle growth. But stretching the muscle on the eccentric part of the lift is actually even more important than the concentric part for muscle growth. So you want to make sure every rep has that full range of motion. While doing this, make sure you are utilizing good form.

USE A PRE-WORKOUT: You might be skeptical about supplements. But the reason pre-workouts exist is to help give you more energy and stamina during your workouts, which can help you push harder and get faster results.

RECOVERY: You need to make sure you get plenty of protein and sleep well - both of which will enhance muscle recovery. You can only build muscle if you recover properly from your workouts, so this is a must after 50.
