Today, let's see how to fix a faulty 5V 10A 50W switching power supply (SMPS). It produces strange sounds and the output voltage is unstable. I show all the important components on the circuit board. I identify and replace components that failed. I talk about the impedance (ESR) of electrolytic capacitors. I also improved the heatsink mounts of the power transistor and diode.
