Black History Month is for looking back, but it's also a time to look forward. This year, youth from the FoCo Cultural Enrichment Center (CEC)—our next generation of Black leaders in Fort Collins—accepted the proclamation declaring February as Black History Month.
Here, CEC youth and the City's Equity Officer speak to the importance of acknowledging the past while paving the way for a future with more opportunity and understanding for our Black community.
