Our animated historical documentary series of Indo - Pak war 1947 - 48 continues with this video on the Genocide of Mirpur. Pakistan's plan of capturing Srinagar was failed as the Indian army strongly defended the city, but in the south of Jammu & Kashmir another attack was launched by Pakistan to capture Jammu and cut connectivity of India from Srinagar. In the early stage of the south invasion Pakistanis got some success as they had capture bhimber & Poonch but then it takes almost a month long to capture a city name Mirpur as it was bravely defended by the citizens of Mirpur and few soldiers of Kashmiri forces. 25th of November 1947 Mirpur city falls as they were heavily outnumbered against the enemy, untrained and suffering from lack of ammunition and food. The defense of the city was so strong as they stop the enemies with well equipped with weapons till the 24th of November but after the city falls, citizens of Mirpur had paid the bloodiest price, hence it was called the Genocide of Mirpur.
