Here we have a third in the series sent into the channel by a wonderful subscriber John ! again thanks for all the blades you have sent over !


So i did forget to mention completely i couple of key parts ! So the centering is a little off you know that after watching the video. So when you tighten that pivot screw up the blade becomes so tight that you can barely open it, let alone flick it open. So the state of play at which the blade is in now, IT HAS BLADE WOBBLE and not just a little, quite a lot infact. Nothing i feel that would impact the overall use of the knife, just mildly annoying. The blade wobble does go when the pivot is tightened up, but then we are back at squre one of the blade not opening ! A catch 22 scenario that i am leaving down to john to sort out if he wishes, as it is not my place to meddle (only in the aspect of safety will it touch it).


Honestly apart from those faults it is one of the best edc blades i have had the pleasure of using, in my personal opinion i'd see if i could get some scales that still had the same ergos but where made of something a bit heavier as i like to feel my knife in my hand when i use them.


The 20CV steel is a magic and class choice for this blade, it can very easily handle a week of edc use with me and my job, no rolls or chips (luckily) in this one. I diddnt touch the blade at all since John sent it to the channel! Most higher end steels are going to fly through a week of edc use with me, but its just reassuring to know that i dont have to sharpen them every week and they will not roll and chip for the most part.


If you can find one of these for a decent price, even if it is used. I would highly reccomend getting one, as i am on the lookout for one right now ! I did say they are discontinued, the reason i stated that is because for the most part the big online retailers/resellers dont have any stock of them not even Benchmade's website lists them. Plus i belive these are/where circa 2016 (i may be wrong so dont hold that agaisnt me please haha). Apart from one place.... Tactical Knives UK, however i have not ordered from them and have heard very mixed reviews from people who have so please be careful in doing so !
