Here is the MKM Edge, one aestetically pleasing blade, even if it is two handed opening.


This one i was quite excited to try out, because of its cool angular design plus being a UK friendly carry ! I must admit i am not a huge fan of two handed opening, however i got on with this one alright. One of the small niggles i came across was when you open and close the blade, as its got quite a polished blade it leaves your fingerprints all over it. That doesnt affect the performance in any way, just a personally aestetic issue for me.


The design on this beauty i feel has been really thought out ! From its angular edges, to it's slip joint back bar and lanyard hole combination. To even the spine of that bar and the blade rounded so they match in with each other when they are open. I too personally like the look of seeing the blade through the scales, although this could be susceptible to getting more crud in there from your pockets ect.


Performance wise its not a quick knife as its a slip joint, it has a reasonable pull strength to open. But beware of the 90 degree stop that your fingers are not in the way as a small bit of the edge will hit them ! The M390 blade had absolutely done it's job throughout the week, cutting and slicing all sorts and diddnt even bat an eyelid, coming out strong as still shaving sharp. Just to add that i did not touch the blade edge from since it arrived from John.


In terms of cost on this, at £155 its a fair whack and there are a lot more in this price range but i feel for the steel and the materials combined with being uk legal its not outragous. I mean you can get a Ti Luna for half the price at around £85 which will also be a superb option ! So depending on your budget depends on how you feel about this blade. But also remember that HH put a little extra on the pricing as its here in the UK compared to other outlets.
