Visiting Tungnath Temple in Uttarakhand which is Highest
Shiva Temple in world was one of my many travel dream.
I reached Chopta from Rishikesh in evning. Next morning i started my trek at 6AM and reached the temple at 9AM.
Tungnath trek is 4km long and not as easy as many people have written. The main temple is closed in winter but trek is open in all season. There are small homestay & tent in Chopta where you can stay if you are planing to trek to Tungnath.

Tips about Trek :
start the trek as early as possible in morning.
-carry water as water is not available at Tungnath in off seasons.
carry warm cloths
please do not leave plastic behind.
carry proper trek equipment if there is snowfall.
kindly follow all rules & guidelines of Temple.
