After a week and a half on Kaua’i and O’ahu, it was time to head back to Seattle. This is a long video, unlike my usual videos. The first 2 hours and 35 minutes are just views as the sun slowly sets behind us. The first 2 hours were bumpy (which the captain had warned us about before we boarded). I enjoyed the turbulence and watching the wing and engine bounce around. About an hour into the video is when the strongest bumps started and at 1:24:00 we got bounced around pretty good!

While the flight was good, the boarding process was very unorganized. First there was a gate change. Then we sat around (with the crew) in the gate area because the aircraft was still sitting at the other gate. Then when it was finally time to board, we approached the gate for pre-boarding (with our 10 week old son) and were rudely told by a gate agent to sit back down because “we board by zones now” and that passengers with children won’t be allowed to board first, even though the other agent said we would be boarding. We were a little confused since the 3 other flights on Hawaiian in the past week had pre-boarding. We boarded first anyway because the second gate agent then called for pre-boards and first class.
