Miata Dash Removal Guide - Easy Step by Step

Continuing in the Interior Restore Series, we need to pull the dashboard! A lot of people are scared of this job but it's actually pretty easy on a Miata -- only 9 bolts and some screws for trim hold it in. Pulling the dashboard can make other jobs easier, like wiring, heater core replacement, HVAC work, etc. This is a a step by step guide showing you how to do it.



Tools needed:(A power screwdriver and medium/low torque impact wrench is great but not required.)



A small flat head screw driver for prying

A larger flat head for helping to separate connectors

Normal size Phillips screwdriver

Sockets - 16mm, 12mm, 10mm

17 mm and 10 mm open end wrench
A couple of lengths of socket extensions are handy - 6 inch is the most used
Needle nose pliers
