The year was 1969 and Black Women were in line at news stands (in New York) and a local bookstore (Florida). They were there to purchase the October issue of Life Magazine because history had been made; a BLACK WOMAN -Naomi Sims- landed the cover. (The above is recounted from two of my aunts because THEY were said women in line.)~~Shannon
