SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS (PS4) Breaking Malus OOB Gate Skip

I'mma find this ho.

After "defeating" Malus, you're locked to being unequipped. To do the wall clip to get out, you need a weapon equipped, so you're stuck in there until a new way is found.You also can't use the map or options menu. MORE:

If you save inside the gate, you'll be unable to leave when you reload, as you can't open it from this side (at least with Valus being the current target). If you jump to your death after the fight, nothing happens when you die. The cam just stays focused on the water and you're forced to close the game. Once you reload, you'll be back at the save shrine inside the gate and you can repeat from there.

lillith and I spent countless hours failing to break into this damn gate and this is what it ended up taking to defeat it.

UPDATE: I did this again but I jumped off the back of the arena before killing him and hit retry. It teleported me back to the Valus cutscene with the sky reset and Agro still gone. Video:   • SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS (PS4) Malus to...  

UPDATE2: I most likely triggered the Valus fight w/o killing him, then did what you see in here, in "Breaking Malus." I did trigger it and leave but I didn't know what save it was on. This was likely the one. Further, I tested an actual NG+ from Continue and a forced NG+ from the "New Game+" option and something entirely different happens:    • SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS (PS4) See no M...
