As in my previous video you may have watched how I spent my whole night in the streets while being disturbed by drunken men .

In this video you will see me starting my trip early in the morning around 6 am as soon as I saw buses on the road of Tashkent , Uzbekistan. I started planning my hitchhiking trip from Tashkent , Uzbekistan to Samarkand , Uzbekistan of around 300 kms .

I wrote on my hitchhiking board Samarkand in Russian and Uzbek language both because as former Soviet Union part , Russian is being spoken by the people of Uzbekistan . I was using Wi-Fi of a cafe close in front where I was sitting at .

Whenever I do hitchhiking I always tries to reach the last bus stop in the direction of my destination. For navigation I am using 2 Gis app through which I got the track of buses for my destination in Uzbekistan, the same app I also used in Kazakhstan for navigation.


I sit in bus number 98 from Chilonzar street of Uzbekistan till unknown place on the way to Samarkand Uzbekistan. After getting off bus I walked for around 800 meters , along the way I see many small / big restaurants.

In Uzbekistan you can differentiate between Taxis and Private cars because the number plates for both is in same colour. Several cars was stopping for me , when they see Samarkand written on my hitchhiking board , many of them being Taxis .

What I realised then many of the car guys don’t really understand hitchhiking word :- Avtostop which I wrote in Russian language but in Kazakhstan they can easily understand when I speak Avtostop .

After 35 -40 minutes I found a ride , it was also a taxi . The guy first stopped when I told him I want to travel by free then he left and came back after few minutes and asked me my purpose and goal . I explained him in a long message where I am from , how many days I am travelling around and my travel goals .

Taxi guy asked me to settle and go with him to Samarkand , though he was going to Surxandaryo region which is close to Afghanistan at a distance of 530 kms from Tashkent , Uzbekistan. My journey from Tashkent to Samarkand was of around 5 hours .


I reached to Samarkand , Uzbekistan around 1 pm at Taxi station of Samarkand , there I find a cute Uzbek girl who speaks good English . She also helped in getting my gadgets charged from a nearby store . She also going to Surxandaryo region of Uzbekistan. She told me this region being hottest of Uzbekistan.

I was travelling in Uzbekistan in a month of July and it’s pretty hot at this time . Temperature at that time was 37 degree Celsius but feels like 45 degree Celsius. The best time to explore Uzbekistan is starting of Autumn around September till November and winters are very cold in Uzbekistan.
