What You Need to Know About the Wolf Man (Before the Universal Remake!)

My family started Universal Studios, and I make videos about their work and legacy. The Wolf Man is a little later than most of the videos I make on my channel - I usually stick to the Laemmle years at Universal - but I've gotten so many requests for this video that I felt it was finally time we tackled this monster. Especially since Universal announced a remake in the works - likely starring Ryan Gosling! There's no doubt the Wolf Man is one of the classic Universal monsters, so this is definitely my domain.

The Wolf Man is a 1941 horror film starring Lon Chaney, Jr., Claude Rains, Evelyn Ankers, and Bela Lugosi. It's one of the world's most famous werewolf movies, and though writer Curt Siodmak made most of it up by combining bits of werewolf myth, lore, and superstition, he ended up inventing much of what we believe about werewolves today!
