Trains at Carlisle - 08/08/2024

Описание к видео Trains at Carlisle - 08/08/2024

Filmed on 08/08/2024. So, moving onwards and northwards towards our second and final station of the day along the west coast mainline. This is the Citerdale City of Carlisle (Season 11 Episode 17)

With the announcement by the government to withdraw the post train since the train was formed around 100 years ago or more. It'll become a great shame to see the withdrawal of the post train. This might be only temporary but we really don't know. After we saw a pairing at our first spotting session of the day, here at Carlisle we were lucky to have seen two in the day light. For those who didn't know, the post train runs at night normally but DB Cargo UK decided to run it throughout the day.

34607 Tangmere is the star loco of the day with The Dalesman West Coast Railways charter from York. But, this hasn't been without issues though. Not for Tangmere but for the class 47 and 57 at the rear of the train. Normally, the front diesel would come off the train so that Tangmere could couple on but oddly was put at the rear of the train. This makes for the most unusual of train movements taken place at Carlisle.
