Thank you for stopping by to watch our 2019-2021 Honda Pilot side view mirror removal and install video. A side view mirror replacement video is generally pretty quick and easy. This new Honda Pilot is even faster than that. We painted this aftermarket mirror in our shop to replace our customer's broken mirror. This Honda Pilot actually has a lane change assist feature that is not located within the mirror. If your mirror is auto-dimming, it's OEM only and we can also get that for you too. Before we start, we should mention that it's possible to remove this mirror by taking off the door panel, but it may be difficult for some folks. Let's get started!

TOOLS:
You will need a socket wrench or impact gun with a 10mm socket. You will also need a Philips screwdriver for the door panel screws.

PROCESS:
We hope you read this because some of you may be able to remove this mirror without taking off the door panel. You have to pop the interior cover off the door to expose the bolts and plug. You will also have to pull the corner of the door panel to get some room to get your hand in there. Now, there may not be enough room for some folks to operate, but removing the door panel is a lot easier than it looks.

Most door panels have several screws and bolts that need to be removed but this new Pilot is great and only has 2 screws. There is one right under the door handle behind a little panel and the other is under the armrest. This is one of the easier door panels to remove, now you just have to pop the bottom off and pull it up. Remove the mirror with your socket wrench and make sure your new mirror has the grommet or weather-strip. This piece will stop road noise and water from getting into your door. Your new mirror from ReveMoto will have it but you can always reuse the old one, just don't stack them.

The mirror installation should be easy-peasy, just work in reverse. There is a key difference in the installation. You want to make sure the features of the side view mirror work properly. Once you confirmed all your fancy features work, you are now done. Congrats!
