This is not my first tutorial about nParticles and their complex behaviour. See for example this one where I pick single particles out of a mass of particles and animate them seperately:    • Maya: The Lonely Particle [Goal PP]  

In this tutorial I cover several things in details which lead to particles shooting towards the camera and particles which form the shape of the letter A and then the letter B.

We also cover emitter attributes, the colour of nParticles, the goal smoothness and other topics.
