Sacramento deputies evacuated an Orangevale apartment complex and nearby homes on Friday while they are in a standoff with an armed man, the sheriff's office said. The apartment complex is along Madison Avenue at Madison Green Lane, the sheriff's office said. The man, identified as Steven Richard Kester, is currently being prosecuted on charges related to child sex acts. He is barricaded in the first-floor unit behind the "Rollingwood Green" sign.
