In this video we find an expression for the torque experienced by a current loop placed in a uniform magnetic field.

We find that a rectangular loop carrying a steady current and placed in a uniform magnetic field experiences a torque. It does not experience a net force. This behaviour is analogous to that of electric dipole in a uniform electric field.

We find torque is equal to cross product of magnetic dipole moment of current carrying loop and magnetic field.
