DEALING WITH UNWANTED INTERRUPTIONS
Let me just…
Get in the habit of saying ‘let me just…’ to give you a few moments.
Allocated time
Allocate your work into time slots.
Triage
Find out what it’s about.
Assertive NO
Use your Noble Objection to decline a request.


PREVENTING INTERRUPTIONS
There are two good ways to head-off interruptions before they get to you.
Signaling
Establish a signal that makes it clear whether you are open to interruptions, or you are don’t want to be interrupted.
Escape
The gold standard is really not being there to be interrupted. Find somewhere else to work.
Email
Close the app. That’s it!
