Israel Prison Service publishes video of al-Shifa Hospital director’s release

A video published by the Israel Prison Service showing Muhammad Abu Salmiya's release from prison has sparked outrage online. Many social media users commented on the conditions faced by Palestinian detainees in Israeli custody.
According to recent Israeli figures, at least 9,623 Palestinians are held in Israeli prisons. Israeli rights group HaMoked, citing numbers from the Israel Prison Service, said that around 3,379 Palestinians are currently being held without any trial or charge under Israel’s administrative detention policy.
