Описание к видео [4K] Montu - Roller Coaster | Back Seat POV | Busch Gardens Tampa Bay | 2024-9-20

The ultimate inversion challenge for enthusiasts! Ride 150 feet into a twisting drop, giant vertical loop, Immelman loop, and finally, zero-G roll. This is one of my favorite roller coasters of this kind due to its intense forceful elements and Egyptian brick trenches.

Montu is an inverted roller coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida. Designed by Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard.

Trivia:
Montu was the world's first roller coaster to incorporate an Immelmann loop element.
It was the first inverted roller coaster to include seven inversions.
The roller coaster previously had an enclosure pit with live crocodiles. It was located underneath the first turn out of the station to the right before the lift hill. Later in 2000, the they were relocated, for health and safety reasons. To the present day, the enclosure remains vacant and unused.
The ride once operated with slight midcourse brake run strength and without a trim brake before the batwing element, which was added later in 1997, a year after the ride's opening. The strength of the brake run was then adjusted due to extremely intense and strong g-forces.
During its opening in 1996, it was the tallest and fastest inverted roller coaster in the world until a roller coaster of the same type, Alpengeist, was constructed and opened in 1997 at a sister park Busch Gardens Williamsburg, earning the record for the tallest and fastest four-seater inverted Bolliger and Mabillard coaster to this day.
