Onboard Drives: 1989 Merkur XR4Ti

How's this for an interesting feature?! This is a car not many people these days know about, a Merkur (yes Merkur, not Mercury) XR4Ti. In Europe it was branded as the Ford Sierra that had some slight cosmetic differences. It has a 2.3 L turbocharged 4-cylinder, manual transmission with a cable clutch and such a nice look to it. My friend owns this car and he put on a Sierra RS Cosworth rear spoiler on the hatch, along with a few other modifications here and there. He bought this car 12 yrs ago from an old man in Getzville, NY and I went with him that day to pick it up. It was in rough shape mechanically but it made it home in one piece. Over the years he worked on it and there's not much left to do to it. Best $500 spent in my opinion! Enjoy the video!
