Ep. 32 THE MOSAIC CRANE, a field trip, the hibiscus & Merry Christmas!

BONUS: Update on my nephews' mosaics - The Owl mosaic, a surprise project and the Bear mosaic.
I work on the mosaic crane, first with the head, then making an inventory of feather cuts for the neck and body. I'm using Weldbond for this indoor piece. I do a color check with the background glass to make sure it will have enough contrast with the crane.
Then I stop by an exhibit at Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta with the Atlanta Artist Center called The Art of Modern Life. Lots of paintings of all types! We stop and look at a few up close. My Forsythia and Poseidon's Dream mosaics make an appearance there. The exhibit is in the entrance and elevator bay for the public to see.
Back in the studio, I work on the pink petals of the mosaic Hibiscus, following the veining as I lay in the stained glass, using Weldbond adhesive.
